what to expect
1. INITIAL CALL
I wanna hear all about what you have planned so far! You may have the perfect spot in mind or need some advice, I’m happy to be as hands on or hands off with the planning as much as you need. In the end, I want to make sure not only is the proposal special for both of you, but you can be as at ease as possible with the logistics so you can focus on being in the moment when you propose!
2. LOCATION SCOUTING
This part is not mandatory, however, I love scouting with you if possible! We can talk about the best spot for you to stand and have your fiance-to-be stand to not only make sure we get the best reaction photos, but also take advantage of the lighting! It’s also good to make sure there’s not any unexpected changes at the location, like professional photography rules, constuction, events, etc. I’m happy to jump on a FaceTime as well or visit the spot solo! At the bare minimum, I will arrive early to prepare.
3. THE PROPOSAL!
You’ll get detail photos of the location, especially if you have a setup! I will be incognito and blend in to the surroundings as you arrive. Once you get near the spot, it’s go time! For a private proposal, you’ll know how to find me from our planning beforehand and I’ll wait for you to give me the signal to approach – I want to give you as much time as you need, just the two of you! You don’t have to worry about photos interrupting the moment.
4. PHOTOS AFTER THE PROPOSAL
It’s really fun to be like “Hi! Your fiance hired me to photograph your proposal! A lot just happened and now we’re going to take more photos!” because, wow, what a crazy ride for your new fiance! Don’t worry, we will build in time for both of you to have a moment to soak it all in and take a breather, get a drink of water, and whatever you need to collect yourself before taking some portraits. We will take photos at the proposal spot and we can even travel to a new spot if you’d like! Either way, you don’t have to focus on how to pose or what to do (because let’s be honest, your brain will be reeling in all the excitement) and just enjoy each other while taking some photos to document this new milestone!
5. PHOTO DELIVERY
Now what? Sneak peeks will slide into your inbox within a two days of the proposal, because I know you’ll be dyyyyying to see them! All of the photos will be delivered within 2-4 weeks! Feel free to share your photos wherever and with whoever! Once you have time to enjoy your engagement and book your wedding date at your dream venue, let’s talk about a special discount for your wedding photography! After all, I would LOVE to have you in front of my camera again!
