I’m telling you – once the weather warms up, I am all fired up to take photos (pun intended). I was looking forward to this engagement session for the longest time! It helps that Emilee and Tim are basically the coolest. I absolutely love how goofy they are with each other – it made photographing them a piece of cake! It helps that they’ve had dates watching The Office (the best show ever) and we could say quotes back and forth during the session.

I first met Emilee over coffee and loved chatting about the wedding planning and all the fun (and not-so-fun) that comes with it. It’s crazy to think we talked about the wedding day details and they’re about to become reality so soon! Engagement photos should always be on the fun side of wedding planning, and it was so fun with these two! The Museum at PrairieFire is iconic. The colored panels paired with the stained glass is the perfect combination, especially with sun rays hitting it.

You could tell these two treasure every second together. With Tim in Manhattan and Emilee in Lenexa, two are wedding planning long distance. I am so excited for the two to get married and live together – long distance is no joke! I know Emilee is excited to move in with Tim in Manhattan (where they got engaged in front of a beautiful sunset) and redecorate the place to make it theirs!

I hitched a ride with these two to a local park during our engagement session (I-Lan Park) in quite possibly was the comfiest and nicest truck I’ve ever been in. You can never go wrong with photos in a wooded area – nature is timeless. I noticed Emilee and Tim love an outdoorsy and country vibe and their wedding will without a doubt reflect those aspects and make the day so special!

Can we talk about how Emilee’s hair? Talk about #hairgoals.
I can hardly wait to capture Emilee and Tim’s day (although I know how stressful wedding planning is when the day gets close…so I won’t wish time to go TOO fast) and I know it will be the sweetest day! Until then, here’s some of my favorite photos from the session. See you soon, Emilee and Tim!
