On May 6th, at the enchanting Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel, Deven and Zack vowed in front of their friends and family to love each other forever as husband and wife. I’m so lucky to have had the privilege of capturing the incredible moments and emotions of their special day. From a heartwarming first look to a romantic ceremony to a joyful celebration in the Grand Hall, this wedding day was a truly unforgettable experience. Enjoy these enchanting details of Deven and Zack’s wedding and the love-filled moments that unfolded!
efore the ceremony, Deven and Zack shared a private first look. The emotions in the room as they took it all in as bride and groom were absolutely magical. The two got teary-eyed and I could tell it was a “wow, this is really happening” moment! The way they look at each other is unreal. I know they’ll share looks like that forever.
The Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel, an architectural masterpiece designed by the renowned Arkansas architect E. Fay Jones, provided a jaw dropping backdrop for Deven and Zack’s ceremony. With its magnificent glass structure, the chapel allowed so much natural light to cascade gently onto the couple, creating an ethereal atmosphere that perfectly complemented their love.
Deven and Zack’s love was not only witnessed by their dear friends and family but also officiated by Deven’s brother, Clay. As the couple stood at the altar, the chapel had a buzz of excitement for the two. During the ceremony, Deven and Zack blended two colors of sand together, to represent their lives forever intertwining, never truly being able to separate again. I love the symbolism and the vase of sand makes a wonderful keepsake! I know it will be a display at their home as a reminder of their vows. I absolutely adored Deven’s gown from Urban Bridal Shop. The lattice design matched the romantic garden aesthetic so well. Seriously, that dress was made for Deven! Deven also walked down the aisle in custom Converse, you need to check out the bottoms! Meanwhile, Zack looked dapper in a suit from Todd’s Clothiers, rocking a soft shade of yellow. Together, they made a stunning couple, the guests ooh’d and ahh’d about them!
Following the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration continued in the Grand Hall, transformed into an intimate reception with a yellow and dusty blue theme, with subtle Parisian elements—a nod to their upcoming honeymoon destination this fall. I’m so jealous and can’t wait to hear about all the Paris fun when they get back! With their sweet wedding guests, Deven and Zack enjoyed a tasty dinner spread provided by Above and Beyond Catering. Thoughtful toasts (with a good flow of comedic moments) followed dinner. There was so much laughter and tears of joy in the air, creating an atmosphere of love and support. I thought to myself “look at all of these people that love Deven and Zack”!
inAfter dinner and toasts, Deven and Zack shared a moment with their father and mother respectively as well as danced together for the first time as husband and wife. When it was time to let loose, DJ Mike Allen set the vibe to dance the night away for an unforgettable evening, landing hit after hit to keep the dance floor alive! I couldn’t help myself and I’m definitely guilty of dancing and taking photos at the same time. Before the dance floor took off for the night, we took a golf cart ride down the road and I stole a few moments with Deven and Zack at the silo on the property. The elevator took us all the way to the top of the silo and the open top gave us 360 degrees of VIEWS! The breathtaking horizon stretching for miles provided the perfect spot for their first sunset as husband and wife! I’m so happy they can cherish their first sunset married together for years to come in these photos.
Deven and Zack’s wedding, as cheesy as it sounds, had the power of love, family, and cherished friendships to craft the most beautiful wedding day. From the charming venue to the heartfelt moments shared by the couple, every aspect of their day made the day special. As they start on their journey as husband and wife, I know that their love will continue to flourish! I am so excited to see what’s to come for these two newlyweds. I have no doubt it will be full of adventure and there will be no shortage of love.
Thank you, Deven and Zack, for allowing me to capture your wedding day. I’m so thankful to not only consider you an amazing bride and groom I got to photograph, but also good friends I know I’ll stay in touch with. May your lives together be filled with endless love, unforgettable memories, and of course lots of cuddles from your sweet pup, Lupa!
Congratulations to the Knapps! Cheers!
